Terms of Service
These Terms govern use of the Luma app and related services. By downloading, installing, creating an account, or using Luma, the user agrees to these Terms.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By accessing or using Luma, the user agrees to these Terms. If the user does not agree, the app must not be used.
Users must be at least 13 years old, or older if required by local law. If a user is below the age of majority in their jurisdiction, they must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
2. Accounts and security
Users agree to keep credentials secure, use only authorized accounts, and provide accurate information where required.
- Users are responsible for activity on their account unless caused by our own breach of law or security obligations.
- We may require re-authentication or extra security steps for sensitive actions.
3. The Luma service
Luma may include AI-assisted chat, voice interaction, organizer tools, planner tools, dictionary features, memory systems, personalization, Growth Hub workspaces, optional rewards, and optional Pro access.
Features may vary by device, platform, region, age restrictions, subscription status, app version, or technical availability.
4. AI features and important disclaimers
Luma uses artificial intelligence to generate messages, summaries, structured suggestions, study support, review flows, and other outputs.
- AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable, even when it sounds confident.
- Luma is not a doctor, lawyer, therapist, emergency service, or financial adviser.
- Users must independently review AI output before acting on it.
- Luma must not be used as the sole basis for medical, legal, safety-critical, or financial decisions.
5. User content
Users retain rights they have in their own content, subject to applicable law and third-party rights. Users grant Luma a limited license to host, store, process, and transmit content as necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the service.
6. Acceptable use
Users must not:
- violate laws or regulations
- infringe privacy, intellectual property, or other rights
- attempt unauthorized access to Luma systems or other users' data
- interfere with anti-abuse controls, rate limits, monetization, or verification systems
- exploit ads, subscriptions, rewards, or virtual items through fraud or circumvention
- use the app to facilitate unlawful, deceptive, abusive, or malicious activity
7. Moderation and enforcement
We may monitor, filter, reject, remove, or limit content, features, rewards, or accounts where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, investigate abuse, or enforce these Terms.
8. Subscriptions and Pro
If a user buys Pro, billing is handled through Google Play, not directly by Luma. Prices, renewals, taxes, and refunds are primarily governed by Google Play billing rules and applicable law.
- Subscriptions may auto-renew unless cancelled through Google Play.
- Cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Access to paid features may end if payment fails, the subscription expires, or fraud is detected.
9. Luma Coins, rewards, and digital items
Luma Coins and similar digital items are virtual in-app features. They are not bank balances, stored-value accounts, or cash equivalents.
- They have no cash value except where required by law.
- They may not be sold, transferred, or traded outside the app unless explicitly allowed.
- Rewarded ads and reward credits remain subject to verification, anti-fraud review, and service limits.
- We may correct, reverse, limit, or revoke rewards or balances in cases of fraud, abuse, chargeback, or system error.
10. Third-party dependencies
Luma depends on third-party platforms and services, including Google Play, Firebase, Google Cloud, Vertex AI, Google Sign-In, AdMob, and email delivery providers. Their availability and policies may affect the app.
11. Privacy
Use of the app is also governed by the Privacy Policy.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if:
- these Terms are violated
- fraud, abuse, or serious security risk is reasonably suspected
- law, provider rules, or platform policy requires it
- continuing the service becomes technically or commercially impractical
13. Effect of termination
If access ends, the user's license to use the app ends as well. Access to some or all app content may stop, and some virtual items or features may be lost subject to applicable law.
14. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Luma is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for every purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or opportunities.
15. Changes to the app or Terms
We may update the app and these Terms. If material changes are made, we may notify users through the app, email, or another appropriate method. Continued use after the effective date means the updated Terms are accepted.
16. Governing law
Unless mandatory consumer law in the user's jurisdiction provides otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
